Duplex apartment renovation in Lille

Le principal enjeu de ce projet d’architecture d’intérieur reposait sur la révision des volumes du RDC, notamment l’entrée, la pièce à vivre et la cuisine ouverte. Il fallait également transformer la salle de bain qui se situe à l’étage du duplex. En effet, l’aménagement existant manquait de lisibilité et ne répondait plus aux usages de la famille.
Le projet s’est construit autour d’une réflexion globale sur la circulation et l’optimisation des espaces. L’agencement a été repensé afin de fluidifier les parcours et de structurer les différentes fonctions.
De nombreuses menuiseries sur mesure ont été intégrées, mêlant esthétique et fonctionnalité : banc TV, bibliothèques, bureau pour le télétravail, claustras ou encore rangements intégrés.
La cuisine ouverte a été conçue en U pour optimiser les rangements tout en facilitant son utilisaitonau quotidien. La salle de bain— située à l’étage du duplex — a été pensée comme un espace complet et fonctionnel, intégrant baignoire, douche, double vasque et buanderie.
Le choix des matériaux et des couleurs (bois, blanc, vert sauge et touches de rose poudré) permet de créer une atmosphère chaleureuse et contemporaine.
Ce duplex vieillot est devenu un intérieur structuré, fluide et cohérent, où chaque espace trouve sa place dans une logique d’usage adaptée aux occupants.
The main challenge of this interior design project was to rethink the ground floor volumes, particularly the entrance, the living area, and the open kitchen. The bathroom on the upper floor of the duplex also needed to be transformed, as the existing layout lacked clarity and no longer suited the family’s needs.
The project was built around a global reflection on circulation and space optimization. The layout was redesigned to improve flow and structure the different functions.
Several custom-designed elements were integrated, combining aesthetics and functionality: TV bench, bookshelves, home office desk, screens, and built-in storage.
The open kitchen was designed in a U-shape to maximize storage while ensuring everyday usability. The bathroom—located on the upper floor of the duplex—was designed as a complete and functional space, including a bathtub, shower, double sink, and laundry area. The choice of materials and colors (wood, white, sage green, and touches of blush pink) creates a warm and contemporary atmosphere.
This formerly dated duplex has become a structured, fluid, and coherent interior, where each space finds its place within a use-driven logic tailored to its occupants.
